"BRIDE" NECKLACE
14k Gold with Pearl and White Topaz Stones
Design Inspired by Jewelry and Ketubah Decorations of Kurdish Jewry
Limited Edition: 333 Only
In a village in Kurdistan set on a rocky hill preparations are underway for a wedding. The women of the village assist in readying the bride. The father bestows upon his daughter the gold jewelry requested by the groom: necklaces and earrings, rings and amulets, clips for her hair. The jewelry is decorated with flowers, leaves, hearts, almond blossoms. The Ketubah, decorated with leaves and geometric shapes, in shades of purple, deep red, and green, is ready. The sounds of drums and flutes announce the festivities.
The colorful illustrations decorating original ketubot of the Jewish community of Kurdistan inspired the unique jewelry designs of the "Nadunia" series. Traditional skills passed from generation to generation created the exquisite handwork that has been reinterpreted and transformed into radiant, fashionable jewelry.
This elegant necklace is composed of 14k Gold strands and a pendant embellished with a pearl and white topaz stones. Produced in a Limited Edition of 333, each piece is numbered and bears the seal of the Corporation.
