These Canaan Stone products combine traditional symbols with motifs from different ethnic groups and cultures. The pictures are produced by grinding stone from the desert then sculpting, painting and drying it in the sun. Each item is handmade and no two items are exactly alike. Stone and metal, both originating in the earth, are combined by the artist to complement each other to form a perfect and unified design.
Every item is numbered and bears the seal of the Corporation.
REBUILT JERUSALEM
The much-loved motif of the streets and walls of Jerusalem have inspired generations of artists and now it decorates this Canaan Stone plaque celebrating the reunification of the city in the Six Day War. The 70mm Bronze medal commemorates the 40th Anniversary of Reunification and features the Western Wall, the heart of the city and its most revered site. The medal was designed by Igal Gabay.
