The Fig - "The Seven Species" Series Maximum Mintage: 999 units. Canaanite Stone Art Tradition, ethnic motifs and ancient cultures are expressed in the Canaanite Stone paintings. These works of art are made by an ancient technique combining the use of crushed, desert stone, sculpture, engraving and drying in the desert sun. Each piece is handmade and no two are identical. "The Seven Species" (Shivat Haminim) Series The Seven Species have served as a decorative motif since ancient times. This series includes 7 stone paintings, each one symbolizing one of the species. The Fig Figs are known to have been in the Land of Israel in ancient times. The spies sent out to inspect the Land returned, bringing pomegranates and figs with them. "And Judah and Israel dwelt in safety, every man under his vine and under his fig tree… all the days of Solomon" (Kings I).
